The competitions will be spread across various venues:
- Milan will host ice events such as figure skating, short track, and ice hockey. The opening ceremony on February 6 will take place at the San Siro Stadium, which will also be celebrating its centenary.
- Cortina d’Ampezzo will be the hub for alpine sports, including women’s alpine skiing and curling, as well as bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events. The Tofane slopes, already a highlight of the 1956 Olympics, will welcome enthusiasts against a breathtaking backdrop.
- Valtellina will see the debut of ski mountaineering as an Olympic discipline in Bormio and will host snowboarding and freestyle competitions in Livigno.
- Val di Fiemme will be the venue for Nordic sports, including ski jumping and cross-country skiing. The facilities in Tesero and Predazzo are already renowned for hosting prestigious international events.
- Anterselva, part of the Cortina cluster, will serve as the base for biathlon, thanks to its specialized stadium located near the lake of the same name.
